I’m a Kiwi who flew the nest in 2001 and landed in London but in 2011 I decided enough was enough and returned to New Zealand

Patchwork and quilting became an interest years ago but in 2010 I had a lot of free time on my hands (being unemployed does that!) and I started hand-sewing some quilts.

This rekindled the passion I have for patchwork and quilting.

Although I like the timelessness of hand sewing I become impatient so I bought myself a sewing machine.

This machine is now one of my best friends and was carefully packed in my luggage when I returned home. Rather than send it with the other shipping!

I love choosing fabric, spending hours deciding on a design, carefully cutting and sewing something, putting it together and enhancing it, seeing the end result laid out and being enjoyed by all.

So this blog is about my obsession for patchwork, quilting and making things.
